A local day care called us up asking for us to come clean out their gutters. They had gotten pretty bad over the years and needed some professional help.
Commercial gutters are a little bigger than your typical residential gutter systems. In fact, they are about 4x the size which means they hold a lot more debris.
The customer had estimated that it had been over 2 years since these gutters were cleaned last.
Typically people don't let the trees and plants grow too long or too deep before the call a professional gutter cleaning company.
The short answer is we can handle it almost every time...We say almost because there have been times when a 10 foot tree has been growing out of the gutters and in those cases we recommend removing the gutters (It would be cheaper).
Don't let your gutters get that bad but we understand if they are.
It is really easy. The vacuum system works so well that we can no longer hear or feel major debris in the gutter. The hose is see through so that helps too. Also we can feel the debris in the poles and once the gutter is clean it glides back and forth on the bottom of the gutter.
Easy enough!
This type of job is not our typical job. These roots had grown so much that there were thick trees coming out that had to be trimmed off.
Once the roots were removed they were so well formed that they kept their shape.
No job is too big or too small for us…however, we would much rather have you call us out when the gutters are not full of roots and plants!
Our gutter vacuum system was able to pull the majority of debris out of these commercial gutters just fine.
However, even the world strongest vacuum x 100 couldn’t get the roots out. We had to call in backup and get our expert ladder guy out here to manually pull the root systems out of the gutters. (NOT EASY)
At the end of the job the gutters were clean, the customer was happy and we were off to suck another customer’s gutter system clean.
